Intense has unveiled its new affordable 951 Series with the Sniper XC bike and Primer Trail bike. Each frame is outfitted with a spec to keep that pricing low. The 951 branding is placed front and center for maximum visibility, calling attention to where it all began for Intense Cycles.

Intense 951 Trail

The Intense 951 Trail carries a more affordable spec than the Intense Primer Trail bike. It is built with the same carbon frame, 29 inch wheels, 140mm rear wheel travel, and a 150mm fork up front.

The Trail is outfitted with a Fox Rhythm 36 Float and Fox Performance Float DPX2 3 position shock (Open, Trail, Lock-out). The drivetrain comes as a SRAM NX Eagle 12 Speed, and Slate T4 brakes from TRP running 180mm rotors front and rear. The Trail boasts a wheelset complete with KENDA Regolith 29” x 2.40”, Intense Hubs, and DT Swiss, and WTB.

Intense 951 series

Intense 951 Trail has a long, slack geometry making for a solid descender. The flip-chip gives the Trail the option for a high or low setting. Low running at 65.1 degree head tube angle, and can be quickly changed out to 65.7 degrees high setting. Flip that chip to dial the 951 Trail for the day’s ride.

Intense 951 XC

The Intense 951 XC bike is running the same carbon frame as the Intense Sniper XC bike, with 29 inch wheels, 120mm of travel.

Intense 951 series

The 951 XC is for riders who are looking for pedaling efficiency and a geometry dialed for climbing. The 66.4 degree head angle and 72.8 degree seat tube angle, provide that setup ready to take on the hills. This bike gets the Fox Rhythm 34 Float. 120mm Travel. Grip Damper – Sweep Adjust, and the Fox Performance Float DPS 3-position (Open, Trail, Lock-out) Shock.

Intense 951 series

With 120mm travel, the 951 XC boasts the KENDA Regolith 29” x 2.20” tires, Intense Hubs, DT Swiss, and WTB. Brakes are TRP Slate T4 Calipers and Levers, Front and Rear, with TRP 180mm Front and 160mm Rear. The drivetrain comes with SRAM NX Eagle 12sp, SRAM NX Eagle 32t. ST. 170mm. (S), 175mm. (M, L, XL).

Pricing

Both bikes in the 951 Series retail for $3699, over $2000 less than the least expensive Sniper T and Primer models. Intense is directing the series to riders looking to get into the sport of mountain biking, and get more riders outside in nature. More riders need to discover the benefits this sport can bring. The Trail and XC models will be shipping at some point early August 2021.
